Investing in Our Community
Community service is one of the cornerstones of Islam and a universal value.
We care about the people we serve and believe it is our responsibility to make a positive impact in our community.
Since its inception, Allied Asset Advisors, adviser to our separately managed accounts and the Iman Fund, has consistently supported the work of a variety of community organizations across America – whether in response to a specific need or proactively. We engage through making donations, sponsoring community initiatives and programs, participating as board members, and providing thought leadership. Our team is always there.
We know our community!
Dr. Bassam Osman, Fund Portfolio Manager, and Mohamad Nasir, General Manager and Investment Consultant, have deep roots in community service. All our staff members consistently serve the community as board members and volunteers.
Dr. Bassam Osman served on the boards of several Islamic organizations over the years, including Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC), MECCA Masjid, Mosque Foundation, and the Universal School.
Mohamad I. Nasir served in several leadership positions over many years, including board memberships with CIOGC, Islamic Community Center of Illinois (ICCI) and ICCI School, Islamic Center of Wheaton, and Arab American Business Association. He has also volunteered his time and leadership for MAS Convention, served with the Park Ridge School District, and participated in many other nonprofits and associations.
